JETS welcomes candidates from broad and diverse backgrounds to bring different perspectives to our business.
JETS aims to recruit fresh graduates. While we have accepted trainees with one to two years’ work experience in the past, all trainees receive a standardised compensation package during the three-year programme. If you have been working for a number of years and accumulated a certain level of professional experience, you may want to consider exploring open positions here.
You must apply by completing our online application form, which can be found here. Speculative applications by any other methods will not be considered.
We do not have a quota. We will take on high-calibre individuals as long as they meet our selection criteria, demonstrate leadership potential and excel in their performance throughout the entire assessment process.
Our programme starts in September every year in the form of a cohort.
If your application was unsuccessful and you would like to apply again, you are most welcome to do so the following year. However, you can only submit one JETS application per year.
For each of the stages, you are given five calendar days to complete it upon receiving the invitation. All items in the Online Immersive Assessment are not timed, and for Job Simulation, most items (except for the video questions) are not timed.
On average, it takes around 1 hour to complete the Online Immersive Assessment and around 2 hours to complete the Job Simulation.
Yes, tablets and mobile phones are supported for the Online Immersive Assessment, but you will need your laptop or desktop computer if you are invited to complete the Online Job Simulation assessment.
If possible, we would recommend completing all assessments using a laptop or desktop computer in order to get the best experience.
Before taking part in your online assessment, you may visit our assessment partner’s preparation hub to understand more about strengths-based assessment and to complete some practice tests.
Both the Online Immersive Assessment and Job Simulation are set in English, as we expect our graduate trainees to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. We pay special attention to write the assessment items in plain English to ensure candidates with English as a first or second language will all be on an equal playing field.
In the Immersive Assessment stage, in the rare case that you do face technical challenges in completing a question, you may refresh the page and try again. If the issue persists, you may contact our assessment provider via the email provided to you within the assessment platform.
In the Job Simulation stage, the assessment is supported by the Frequently Asked Questions documentation which can be accessed within the assessment. Just click on the Help button in the top right-hand corner.
If this does not provide the answers you need, there is an online form you can complete and one of our assessment provider’s support agents will get in touch with you to resolve your issue.
You can expect to hear back from us one week prior to the AC date.
At AC, you will take on several challenging tasks, such as an individual management presentation, peer group discussion, and interviews.
Our senior executives and business leaders will observe and provide feedback at the end of AC to help you gain valuable insights into your strengths and areas of improvement.
In-person ACs are planned in Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam, and virtual ACs are planned for candidates in other locations.
The in-person ACs may change to a virtual format depending on the COVID-19 situation. We will make an announcement closer to the AC dates.
There will not be any make-up interview so we hope candidates will be able to check and reserve time from their calendar in order to attend the respective location AC that they have selected.

In addition to on-the-job experiences, you’ll build your leadership skills and business acumen through various dynamic development programmes.
Even before you start, we will set you up with a Buddy to help you acclimatise to the working environment. Through coaching and mentoring there will be support for you on every step of your development journey with us.
We will certainly consider your interests and preferences. Our scheme is designed to expose you to two different industries in the Group. We will make sure your ultimate placement matches the stage of your training plan.
You will experience one overseas assignment (where Jardines has a presence) in addition to working in Hong Kong during your first year.
